Ascesa—a young project founded by four friends in 2018—is quickly carving out a vital space in Valtellina. While the Langhe often delivers power and breadth, Valtellina is about verticality, tension, and translucence. The 2022 Rosso is a striking example of this high-altitude grace.

Sourced from steep terraces in Tresivio and Buglio, ranging from 350 to 550 meters, this is 100% Nebbiolo (locally known as Chiavennasca) that feels entirely unmanipulated. Vinified in stainless steel with a twenty-month elevage, the wine is stripped of any oak-driven artifice, leaving only the stony, alpine essence of the region.
