Castellare Chianti Classico 2023

Each year, a different feathered friend graces the label of this estate’s flagship Chianti Classico—a nod to their commitment to pesticide-free, sustainable viticulture. For the 2023 vintage, the Great Tit (Cinciallegra) takes the stage, and the wine inside is just as vibrant and melodious as its namesake.

Castellare remains a staunch defender of Tuscan tradition. While many of their neighbors long ago introduced Cabernet or Merlot into their Chianti blends, Castellare sticks to the script: 90% Sangioveto (the noble local clone of Sangiovese) and 10% Canaiolo. This is Chianti Classico in its purest, most transparent form.
