Castello di Ama Chianti Classico 2022

For nearly half a century, Castello di Ama has been a beacon of elegance in the heart of Gaiole. Crafted by the legendary Marco Pallanti, the 2022 “Ama” bottling is a soulful expression of high-altitude Sangiovese (96%) with just a kiss of Merlot (4%). Despite a sun-drenched Tuscan summer, the 2022 vintage emerged with incredible poise. It’s a wine that manages to be both youthful and composed, offering a bright, ruby-red window into the limestone-rich soils of the estate.

It’s medium-bodied and remarkably vibrant, led by a core of juicy Morello cherry and red plum. The tannins are polished and chalky in the best way, providing a structured frame for the wine’s energetic acidity.
