Cornu-Camus Aligote 2025

$25.00

The Cornu family has been working the land in Echevronne—a village in northwest Hautes-Côtes de Beaune—since the 13th century. This is a traditional, 10-hectare, family-run operation making pure, site-expressive wines without pretense. Pierre Cornu was among the first in the family to start bottling his own wines back in the late 1970s, later joining forces with his wife Bernadette Camus. Today, the estate is co-managed by their daughter Lydia and her husband Christophe Pertuzot (who previously spent time at Domaine Leroy).
For a long time, Aligoté was treated as Burgundy’s second-class white grape, however when it’s grown in limestone soils and farmed with intent by serious growers, it delivers a thrilling combination of snap, minerality, and texture.
