Domaine La Ferrandiere Grenache Gris Rose 2024
$13.00
This isn’t your typical mass-produced rosé; it’s a focused, varietal-driven expression of Grenache Gris from an estate with a truly singular history. Situated on the site of an ancient maritime lagoon between Corbières and Minervois, the vineyards at Domaine La Ferrandière are flooded for 40 days each winter—an ancestral technique that allows these vines to grow on their own rootstock, untouched by phylloxera.
The result is a wine of remarkable purity and poise. In the glass, it shows a pale, silvery-pink hue that belies its concentration. On the nose, you’ll find an enticing mix of wild strawberry, white peach, and a distinct, savory thread of dried Mediterranean herbs—think thyme and a whisper of mint. The palate is brisk and bone-dry, driven by a refreshing citrus acidity and a streak of saline minerality that reflects its lagoon-bed origins
