In the world of Burgundy, the Vocoret family is practically part of the bedrock. They’ve been tending vines in the clay-and-limestone hills of Chablis since 1867, and that multi-generational know-how is on full display in this 2023 bottling. While the vintage offered a bit more sunshine and flesh than the austere years of the past, Vocoret has managed to capture that elusive balance: it’s a riper, more fruit-forward take that still refuses to compromise on its Kimmeridgian soul.

On the nose, you’re greeted with a generous basket of orchard fruit—think ripe green apple and Bosc pear—alongside a lift of Meyer lemon zest. But give it a moment in the glass, and the “textbook” Chablis character emerges: that unmistakable scent of crushed sea shells and damp stones. The palate is energetic and bright, with a rounded citrus core that gives way to a long, saline finish.
