Il Palazzone is a tiny, salt-of-the-earth estate that operates with a quality over everything mentality. They only produce Brunello in the best years, and 2015 was practically screaming for it. This isn’t one of those over-extracted, modern Brunellos that tastes like it spent too much time in a new oak sauna. Instead, this is Sangiovese in its purest, most transparent form.
