The 2022 vintage was a bit of a nail-biter in Oregon, starting with a late-spring frost that had everyone nervous. But for Jim’s high-elevation sites—like the St. Dolores Estate and the legendary Temperance Hill—the late bud-break was a saving grace. What resulted was a long, cool growing season that preserved the kind of electric acidity and tension we live for.
