J.M. Boillot Bourgogne Blanc 2024
$40.00
To understand why this wine drinks well above its humble “Bourgogne” designation, just look to the family tree. Jean-Marc was the winemaker for Olivier Leflaive, and his grandfathers were Etienne Sauzet (on his mother’s side) and Henri Boillot (on his father’s). When you inherit vineyard heritage from both Sauzet and Boillot, you don’t just make ordinary regional wine.
Much of the fruit for this bottling comes from parcels in Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault. You get the structural tension and stony precision of top Côte de Beaune terroirs at a fraction of the Premier Cru price tag. It’s concentrated, textural, and maintains a beautifull balanced between rich fruit and driving acidity.
