Laurent Tribut Chablis AC 2021
$60.00
If you’ve spent any time tracking down the elusive bottles of René and Vincent Dauvissat, then you already know the name Laurent Tribut. But if you don’t, it’s time to pay attention. Tribut isn’t just a neighbor or a protégé; he is family. Having married Marie-Clotilde Dauvissat (René’s daughter), Laurent began making wine in the Dauvissat cellars using the same traditional methods that made that estate a global icon.
Eventually, Laurent and Marie-Clotilde established their own domaine in the village of Poinchy, just outside the town of Chablis. Today, the torch is being passed to their children—Solange, Adeline, and Gabriel—who continue to produce some of the most chiseled and unswervingly classic wines in the region.
What makes Tribut so special is the refusal to modernise a profile that is already perfect. These are “old school” wines in the best sense of the phrase. They aren’t about flashy oak or tropical fruit; they are about the Kimmeridgian limestone soil, the snap of acidity, and that unmistakable crushed oyster shell finish.
While technically a village-level wine, the fruit comes from vines situated near the 1er Crus. It offers an incredible introduction to the house style—bright, saline, and incredibly refreshing.
In an era where Chablis is becoming increasingly expensive and hard to find, Laurent Tribut remains a beacon for those who value authenticity. These aren’t manufactured wines; they are honest reflections of a specific place and a legendary lineage.
