Maitre de Chai Red Table Wine 2024

Winemakers Marty Winters and Alex Pitts—both former chefs with stints in some of the country’s most demanding kitchens—bring a culinary precision to their winemaking that values balance, acidity, and, above all, a sense of place.

For the 2024 release, the guys have stayed true to their “less is more ethos”. This is a bright, crunchy, and dangerously drinkable blend that captures the soul of Lodi without the heavy-handed ripeness often associated with the region.

It’s a Mediterranean-inflected mix of Zinfandel (mostly from the historic Stampede Vineyard), Grenache, and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon for structure. Organic, fermented with native yeasts, and bottled with minimal intervention, it’s honest wine made by people who care deeply about the dirt it came from.
