Muga Rioja Blanco 2023

The Muga family is one of the few remaining titans in Rioja that still operates their own cooperage, hand-crafting every barrel to ensure their signature touch is felt from harvest to glass.

The 2023 Blanco is a refreshing departure from the heavy, oxidation-prone white Riojas of yesteryear. It’s a bright, energetic blend of Viura, Garnacha Blanca, and Malvasía, fermented in new French oak that has been toasted so lightly it feels more like a whisper than a shout.

This is an absolute natural for grilled shellfish, paella, or even a simple roasted chicken with herbs. Serve it chilled—but not ice cold—to let those delicate vanilla and floral nuances really open up.
