From the hands of the esteemed Nino Negri in Lombardy’s Italian Alps, the Nebbiolo Bianco Alpi Retiche 2022 is a singular and captivating white wine crafted from red Nebbiolo grapes. Harvested in the Alpi Retiche Valtellinesi and placed in small 10 kg trays, the grapes are softly pressed and immediately separated from their skins to prevent color transfer, allowing for a pristine white expression. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel at controlled temperatures (18°C), followed by a period on the lees before bottling, adding texture and depth.
This rare style of white Nebbiolo has been produced since 1978, yet it remains a hidden gem for most wine enthusiasts.
