Schiavenza Barolo Del Commune Di Serralunga 2015
$50.00
While the big names in Serralunga often come with triple-digit price tags and decade-long waiting lists, Schiavenza remains one of the most modest and over-performing estates in the region. This estate embodies exactly what Serralunga is known for — it’s limestone and sand soils—which impart a legendary structure and longevity to the Nebbiolo grape. Schiavenza captures that intensity without ever feeling forced or modern.
This is traditional winemaking at its finest. Fermented in cement and aged in large Slavonian oak botti, the fruit is allowed to speak for itself without being masked by new wood. Now over a decade old, the tannic grip has relaxed somewhat and is in perfect harmony with savory-leaning fruit.
