Schramsberg Mirabelle Brut Rose NV
$30.00
While the Davies family is legendary for their vintage-dated sparklers (the kind served at White House state dinners), their “Mirabelle” project is where they flex their blending muscles. This is a multi-vintage bottling that captures the vibrant, sun-kissed energy of California’s North Coast while maintaining a serious, traditional-method structure.
Crafted from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay sourced from cool-climate pockets in Carneros, Anderson Valley, and the Sonoma Coast, this rosé is all about balance. A portion of the Pinot Noir is fermented with skin contact to give it that alluring, pale salmon hue and a boost of berry depth. It’s aged for about two years en tirage, which adds a sophisticated layer of toasty brioche and freshly baked bread to the fruit-forward profile.
On the palate, it’s remarkably bright and punchy. You’ll find a medley of wild strawberry, raspberry, and tangerine zest, all carried by a fine, persistent mousse. It’s dry and crisp, yet it possesses a certain roundness—a juiciness—that makes it incredibly easy to love.
