Crafted from a base of Piedmontese white wines—including Arneis, Trebbiano, and Cortese—it gets its deep, mahogany-garnet hue and structured body from a small addition of Barbera d’Asti.
The Quaglia family has been at this since the late 19th century, and that history shows in the glass. The infusion process is slow and deliberate, macerating over 30 botanicals for a full 60 days. On the nose, it’s a fragrant walk through an Italian spice market: zesty orange peel and warm vanilla meet the punchy, bittersweet snap of gentian root and wormwood.
