The 2021 Fèlsina “Berardenga” Riserva is, quite simply, a remarkable Sangiovese. If the annata is the benchmark, the Riserva is where Fèlsina really starts to flex. Coming from the warmer, southern reaches of Castelnuovo Berardenga, this is Chianti with serious muscle and soul.  It’s got that classic Fèlsina wildness—think Tuscan scrub and earthy minerals—but with a level of polish and sophistication that is undeniable.

It’s medium-bodied but feels powerful, building in intensity toward a finish that just keeps going. The tannins are self-confident—firm and structured but silky enough to keep things elegant. There’s a beautiful saline undercurrent that cuts through the ripeness, keeping it fresh and vibrant.
