Nigl Riesling Senftenberger Piri 2010
$35.00
Martin Nigl is a purist, and the 2010 Senftenberger Piri is a testament to his obsession with site specificity. Coming from the primary rock soils of the Piri vineyard in the Kremstal, this bottle captures a moment in time where high acidity and deep concentration collided to create something truly electric.
Now with over a decade in the bottle, that trademark “Piri” energy has evolved beautifully. The fruit has shifted from primary lime and green apple into more complex territory: think preserved lemon and dried apricots the nose. It’s bone-dry and laser-focused on the palate, with an incredibly salty finish. There’s no baby fat left here; it’s lean, muscular, and exceptionally transparent.
If you’re looking for a lesson in how Austrian Riesling ages—staying fresh while gaining profound depth—this is it.
