Roagna Barolo Chinato 750ml

Roagna is already one of the most important names in classic Piedmontese winemaking, but the family truly excels with this traditional staple of the region. This isn’t your average aromatized wine; it is built on a foundation of their heralded Pira Barolo, which is aged for many years before it ever meets its botanical partners.

Similar in spirit to a vermouth but far more profound, the base wine is carefully infused with a secret family recipe of herbs, flowers, barks, and spices—most notably quinine (the “china” in Chinato). Because the base is legitimate, long-aged Barolo, the profile is at once potent and focused while remaining remarkably harmonious and well-integrated.
