Trousse-Chemise Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 2024
$23.99
Anne Sery is a winemaker who clearly hasn’t forgotten her roots. Born on Réunion Island and trained in the cellars of Burgundy under the late, great Denis Dubourdieu, she brings a French sensibility to Oregon’s volcanic soils. Since launching Trousse-Chemise in 2012, she has consistently turned out some of the best QPR (Quality-Price Ratio) Pinot Noir on the West Coast.
The 2024 bottling is a bright, energetic expression of the valley. Sourced from high-elevation, cool-climate sites, it avoids the over-extracted trap that some domestic Pinots fall into. Framed by silky, fine-grained tannins, it leans into elegance with a wonderful acidity that keeps the palate refreshed.
While Oregon’s elite bottlings are increasingly being chased by collectors and seeing price hikes to match, Anne has kept Trousse-Chemise accessible. It’s the kind of wine we love to pour blind for friends who swear they only drink Burgundy; the look on their faces when they see the label (and the price) is worth the entry fee alone.
