Lucien Muzard Bourgogne Rouge 2022
$32.50
Claude and Hervé Muzard represent the ninth generation of their family to tend vines in the village of Santenay, and that deep-rooted history shows in every bottle they produce. While some might dismiss “Bourgogne Rouge” as a mere entry-level category, the Muzard brothers treat it with the same reverence as their Premier Crus.
The 2022 vintage is a vibrant, soul-stirring example of why we love the Côte de Beaune. Sourced from a collection of old-vine parcels in Santenay, Maranges, and the Hautes Côtes, this wine is far more than the sum of its parts. In the cellar, the brothers use a gentle hand: organic farming, native yeasts, and a thoughtful inclusion of whole clusters to provide lift and structure.
This one captures the elegance and crunchy red fruit character of Burgundy without the prohibitive price tag. It’s a wine that over-delivers on its pedigree, proving that you don’t need a famous vineyard name on the label to find true Burgundian soul.
